Reckless Op

Author | Ken Allan Dronsfield

I road a bike last Saturday,
an old baby-blue Schwinn with
fat tires and a basket on the front.
I haven't ridden in over 45 years.
The saying, "you never forget how"
and this maybe true, as I found myself
cruising along the bike path by the
duck pond, down the lane past
spoiled little dogs wearing cute
costumes that tried to chase me down
and one lady who had a cat on a leash,
it was trying to climb a tree and she
looked as through she were holding
a cat balloon. Just then, a policeman
walked out right in front of me, and well
I've been banned from that park now,
yes, you never forget HOW to ride,
it's stopping that can be the real bitch.
